Each season offers its own charm in Bhutan, but the optimal time to visit is typically from March to May. June can also be suitable, with only occasional showers that shouldn't pose a problem. During this period, the weather tends to be cool and dry, making it the perfect hoodie season. However, be prepared for colder nights and sporadic rain, as the weather can be unpredictable.
From July to September, daily rainfall is common, and there's a risk of travel disruptions due to land slides and falling boulders caused by heavy rain. October may still see some showers, but not as intense as during the monsoon season. As October progresses, temperatures drop, leading into November to February, which brings dry weather and occasional snow in the mountains. If you're not bothered by the cold, this period can be enjoyable, but it's wise to pack extra jackets and layers to stay warm.
